National mandatory standard of pre-school education and training
The educational process in preschool organizations regardless of the form of ownership and departmental subordination is carried out in accordance with the law:
- The State Compulsory Standard of Preschool Education and Training (hereinafter - the Standard) (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 604 dated October 31, 2018);
- Standard curricula of preschool education and training № 557 of December 20, 2012 (as amended and supplemented on October 10, 2018 № 556);
- Standard curriculum of preschool education and training (hereinafter - the Program) (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 12, 2016 № 499);
- Typical rules for the activities of preschool organizations (order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 30, 2018 № 595).
The standard specifies the requirements for the level of preparation of children of preschool age, the content of preschool education and training, and the maximum amount of training load.
The content of preschool education and training is based on the educational areas of "Health", "Communication", "Cognition", "Creativity" and "Socium", which are oriented to the diverse development of children, taking into account their age and individual characteristics and the integration of the content of educational areas.
Educational field "Health".
The educational field "Health" is aimed at the development of physical qualities, the improvement of the main types of movements, the formation of motor skills, the organization and conduct of various outdoor games, performing sports exercises (sledding, skiing, biking, swimming); acquaintance with the elements of sports games (football, basketball, badminton, etc.).
The content of the educational field "Health" is aimed at protecting and strengthening the child's health; formation of safe behavior skills in everyday life, outdoors, in the conditions of nature and enriching the motor experience of children through the improvement of basic movements, improving the pupils' need for motor activity, using creative, cognitive and speech abilities.
Organized educational activities in the educational field "Health":
- Physical Education;
- Basics of safe behavior.
Educational field "Communication".
The educational field "Communication" includes the development of oral and coherent speech of children in various forms and types of children's activity, creative speech activity, education of the sound culture of speech, enrichment of the active vocabulary, the formation of the grammatical side of speech, development of familiarity with children's literature, expressive reading and retelling, development State, Russian, English and other languages.
The content of the educational field "Communication" is aimed at developing the skills of free communication with adults and children, attention, interest in the word, children's literature.
Organized educational activity in the educational field "Communication":
- Development of speech;
- Basics of reading and writing;
- Kazakh language (in groups with the Russian language of education), Russian language (in groups with the Kazakh language of education) and one of the foreign languages;
Educational field "Cognition".
The educational field "Cognition" includes the formation of ideas about elementary mathematics: Improvement of ideas about the set, skills of quantitative calculation, formation of ideas about geometric figures, orientation in space and time; Construction from construction, natural and waste materials and details of construction kits; Expansion of knowledge about objects and phenomena of living and inanimate nature, knowledge about seasonal phenomena, expansion of knowledge about plants, ideas about the sociocultural values of Kazakh and other peoples, traditions and holidays, the Earth planet as a common house of people, features of its nature.
Organized educational activity in the educational field "Cognition":
- Formation of ideas about elementary mathematics, sensory capabilities in groups of toddlers (from 1 year to 3 years);
- Natural science.
Educational field "Creativity".
The educational field "Creativity" includes drawing; modeling, application, development of perception and understanding of works of art, formation of an aesthetic attitude to the world around them; Formation of elementary ideas about the types of art; Perception of music, works of domestic composers, national musical instruments, fiction, folklore; Stimulating empathy for the characters of works of art; Realization of independent creative activity of children.
Organized educational activities in the educational field "Creativity":
Educational field "Social life".
The educational field "Social life" includes the assimilation of moral norms of behavior in society, as well as universal values, the child's ability to communicate with adults and peers; The ability to be independent, responsible for one's actions, purposefulness, and regulation of one's actions; Development of moral qualities: Sympathy, empathy, respectful attitude to one's relatives and friends, feelings of attachment to one's family; Observance of traditions and customs, knowledge and respect for the history, life of the Kazakh people; Expansion of the idea that Kazakhstan is our common home, as well as respect for the traditions and cultures of other peoples; Formation of interest in various kinds of work and creativity; Education of the basics of safe behavior in everyday life, society and nature.
Organized educational activities in the educational field "Social life":
- Acquaintance with the surrounding world;
- Bases of ecology.
Tracking the level of upbringing and education of children is based on monitoring the achievements of the child in accordance with the age of the child:
- 1-level – the child reproduces one or another action and knowledge;
- 2-level – the child understands what he does, owns a certain amount of knowledge;
- 3-level – the child applies what he knows and can, uses knowledge independently and creatively.
Indicators provide monitoring of child development and are the basis for planning its individual development.
In pursuance of the instructions of N. Nazarbayev in his Messages to the people of Kazakhstan "New opportunities for development in the conditions of the fourth industrial revolution" of January 10, 2018 and "Growth of welfare of the people of Kazakhstan: Improving income and quality of life" of 5 October 2018 is aimed at improving the quality of preschool education and training and building social skills of young children in the educational process of preschool organizations.
In the context of the updated content of education, the Standard has been amended and supplemented to include the period from birth to 1 year in the age grouping.
Age periodization and age groups:
1) nursery age - 0-3 years old:
- infancy - from birth;
- early age - from 1 year old (early age group);
- younger age - from 2 years old (younger group).
2) pre-school age - 3-6 years old:
- Average preschool age - from 3 years old (middle group);
- Senior preschool age - from 4 years old (senior group).
PPE age (PPE Groups, classes) - from 5 years old.
In accordance with the Standard, the "Program for Early Development of Children Developing Social and Self-Education Skills" was developed (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 668 dated December 5, 2018). The programme is a tool for educators and parents in the socialization of young children.
The content of the Program is aimed at the realization of the tasks of socialization of children from birth and up to three years old, development of their social and self-study skills necessary for successful, confident and positive future of a schoolchild, in the joint activity of a teacher and parents, ensures the formation of social skills of children on interaction, adaptation, formation of a child as a person, humane attitude to the environment (family, society, nature), the basics of safe behavior, the attention is focused on the leading role of a teacher in a preschool body
The Program includes the main stages of psychosocial development of a child's personality from birth to 3 years of age, and presents the expected results in the educational areas that should be formed as a result of mastering the content of the program.
The system of evaluation will give an opportunity to estimate the levels of social readiness, leadership, tolerance, self-education of children and to plan the work on correction of their development using the criteria (the child reproduces certain actions, understands what he does and applies independently what he is able to do).
The programme is designed as a complementary programme to the Model Curriculum for Early Childhood Care and Education and is a tool for the socialisation of young children, both for teachers and parents.
In addition, for the successful teaching of the state language to children, changes and additions were made to the Model Curriculum of preschool education and training to increase by 1 hour the study of the Kazakh language in senior groups due to the variable component (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 10, 2018 № 556).
Also in the educational process of preschool organizations are used classical and modern technologies of education and training of children (methods of M. Montessori, F. Froebel, Waldorf pedagogy, N. Zaitsev's system, methodology B. Voskobovich, etc.) (multimedia, animation, educational games, etc.).
